clowning

My passion and explorations in clowning tend to focus on the potential the clown has to subvert and turn life upside down, or as the Situationists would say, détourne.

I like to find out what makes us laugh and how each of us can feel comfortable being foolish. In workshops we discover how each of us is uniquely funny and find as many ways as possible to communicate that to an audience.

 I love working with costumes - hats, spectacles, shoes, socks, trousers, skirts, shirts, braces, dresses…..long ties, short ties…..
